Core Dance Presents Fieldwork Showcase on May 20

May 1, 2018 (Houston, Texas) – Core Dance, the award-winning contemporary dance organization based in Houston and Atlanta, in partnership with Dance Source Houston and The Field, NYC presents Field Day including the Spring Fieldwork Showcase on Sunday, May 20 at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in MatchBox 2 at the Midtown Arts and Theater Complex Houston (MATCH), located at 3400 Main Street, Houston, 77002. Works in development will be presented by Dance Source Houston artists-in-residence including performances by Lindsay Gary, Kate Rash, Lisa Harris, Shannon Adame, Ashely Horn Nott, Abijan Johnson, Karen Eisele, Jhon Stronks, and Ayan Felix at the 5:00 p.m. Field Day. These performances will be followed by the Spring Fieldwork Showcase and will include presentations and performances by Margo Toombs, Maggie Lasher, Cynthia Garcia, Sarah Lyman, Thomas Yeager, and Kay Adshead starting at 7:00 p.m.

Core Dance, in partnership with The Field NYC and Dance Source Houston, will continue to offer Fieldwork this fall. Fieldwork is a unique forum for artists of all disciplines to share developing works and exchange feedback, peer to peer. Two options will again be available for creators on Saturdays – a monthly drop-in workshop beginning on September 8 or bi-weekly workshops that begin in February 2019. Each session is guided by Jhon Stronks and Lori Yuill.
