Repertory classes of NMD choreography will be offered daily and all students will have the opportunity to learn from Co-Directors Andy and Dionne Noble, as well as from the talented dance artists of NMD. Dancers will train for approximately six hours each day alongside working professional dancers from the Houston Dance Community. A culminating performance will take place the final day of the Intensive, giving the dancers an opportunity to showcase choreography learned throughout the week.
As an added bonus, NMD will be looking for fresh faces to perform as guest artists for their Hobby Center Fall 2015 production, Storm Front. For students in the professional track, the final showcase will serve as an audition for this performance opportunity. If chosen, dancers will work alongside NMD company directors and members on a 14-minute work,Tower, that is athletically challenging and integrates rain into the live performance. NMD will be looking for both men and women to fill each of these substantial roles.
