We will not go quietly…
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Dylan Thomas (paraphrased)
At this moment, hundreds of laws are taking effect in many places across the country that will create an environment of hostility for a small segment of our population. From anti-drag bills to bathroom bans, people who fall under the transgender umbrella are finding fewer spaces to feel a sense of safety or belonging. Many allies struggle to find ways to show support and acceptance to them, and many trans and non-binary people are looking for a way to express their refusal to be silenced. In order to do our part to meet this need, the Pink Carpet Resistance was born.
Date: Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Numbers Houston
Doors open: 7:00pm – Live entertainment begins at 8:30pm

Including performances by a stellar cast of trans and non-binary artists from a variety of backgrounds and entertainment styles, this promises to be a night packed with excitement and entertainment! This will allow Houston to support and celebrate the gender non-conforming people and their place in our society, as well as to fight back against the bad-faith politics and policies designed to further marginalize a community that serves a crucial role in our society.
In addition to nearly 5 hours of performances and speakers, you’ll find local vendors with a wide range of goods, spectacular food and drink, and multiple ticket types to ensure that anyone can attend if they so desire.
We look forward to welcoming you on September 3, 2023, at Numbers Houston. Doors open at 7pm with live entertainment beginning at 8:30pm. Additional information and ticket links can be found at https://fb.me/e/4GUFW4zSm or at www.htxqee.com (pending). PCR is presented by Rivkah French Choreography and Houston Queer Events and funded in part by the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.
