Uptown Dance Company Announces Spring Infusion 2020 

HOUSTON, TX — Uptown Dance’s pre-professional companies present Spring Infusion 2020, which features three world premieres. Beth Gulledge Brown, Laura Catherine Hilley, and Andre Silva each created a new piece for the occasion. The works will be performed on Saturday, February 29, at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., in Uptown’s black box theater. 

Artistic Director Beth Gulledge-Brown’s contemporary ballet work, The Journey, is set on Company II and Senior Company dancers. Texas Ballet Theater principal dancer Andre Silva created Fiesta, which features the jazzy side of Company II and Senior Company. Company dancer Laura Catherine Hilley choreographed Life Patterns, a contemporary ballet work for Junior Company, which is comprised of the youngest performers. 

Performance tickets are available via the company’s website at UptownDance.org/ Tickets. Discounts are offered for seniors and students.
