Houston, TX – The Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston hosts Israeli native and one of the top Israeli Folkdance teachers in the world, Yaron Carmel, for a fun-filled weekend of enthusiastic Israeli dancing January 10 – 12, 2014.

Carmel, born in Zichron–Yaakov, Israel, is world-renowned in the genre of Israeli dance and has taught Israeli folk dance for many years not only in his native country of Israel, but here in the States as well.

Yaron has always been present in the major milestones in the life of folk dancing around the world. He is one of the main organizers of Camp Bitnua – the Israeli camp. Carmel has been described as “enchanting, charming and amazing.”

The weekend will include an Erev Shabbat get together, teaching sessions for intermediate to advanced dancers with reviews at the end of each session, and a Saturday night dance party.
