Houston, TX -The Evelyn Rubenstein JCC is now accepting applications for Emerging Artists Mentorship with Artistic Director of Koresh Dance Company, Roni Koresh. The Emerging Artist mentorship program dives into the history of the Koresh Style with in depth discussions regarding movement, culture, music & text influences. Artistic Director, Roni Koresh will guide dancers in creating, editing and developing their own choreographic artistic voice through movement assignments and in-person & virtual mentoring. It will provide an opportunity for interaction between the professional staff, visiting artists and the Emerging Artists; serve as a bridge between senior academic programs and the professional world” stated Maxine Silberstein, Dance at the J artistic director.

Emerging Artists will have the opportunity to demonstrate their talent publicly in a performance.  In 2022/2023 season, Dance at the J will present the Emerging Artists’ work in concert in the Kaplan Theatre.
