Houston, TexasChapman Dance presents a twenty-minute showing of Stop Copying Me on August 25, 2018 at Contemporary Arts Museum Houston.

Stop Copying Me is a site-specific dance performance inspired by the work of Cary Leibowitz.  Color and kitsch are reflected in the slightly neurotic movements of three dancers as they dart through the maze of Cary Leibowitz’s Museum Show.  This will be a 20-minute showing of a new work choreographed by Teresa Chapman. Chapman Dance members for this performance include Sam Burkett, Kristen Frankiewicz, and Brit Wallis.

Chapman Dance presents two free showings of Stop Copying Me on August 25 at 1pm and 3:30pm at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston: 5216 Montrose Blvd, Houston, TX 77006.  No tickets necessary. Space is limited and offered on a first come first serve basis. For more information, visit chapmandance.com.

Teresa Chapman is an Associate Professor at the University of Houston.  Her work has been presented at DiverseWorks Art Space, Miller Outdoor Theatre, Moore’s Opera House, The Barn Theater, the Contemporary Art Museum Houston, Wade Wilson Gallery, the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center, MATCH and the Cunningham Studios in New York City.
